Facebook changed its algorithm back in like 2015. In order to maintain the same kind of reach that they were getting prior to that, they had to like pivot fully to just like viral content craziness. And really the name of the game, especially at this point in time, is to buzzfeed strategy, put out as much shit as possible and people will just click on it.
