Trump and Liddell
Liddell acted kind of like Joe Hagan when he had been Deputy Chief of Staff here, which is getting the business of the White House done. Liddell stayed out of it, stayed away from the Oval Office and did his thing he could so Trump wouldn't interfere. Mark Meadows, the chief of staff that was complicit in almost all of Trump's nefarious deeds at the end inexplicably turned a blind eye to him. He said, look, you know, do you do what you have to do? Just don't tell the boss. But in part, I think it's just Meadows' fecklessness. He was a yes man to everyone. Not just Donald Trump.
