What Is an Essay?
i've had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek at these three books, and there's a lot in there. What exactly is an essay? How do you define this form? It has to have a kind of plot, but the plot, in a way, is the ark of one's thoughts. Essentially, it usually has some points of tension that have to be resolved. If i could meet any author who has since gone to other side, he would be one that i want to talk to, because he just fascinates me. I love doctor johnson. He's one of my heroes.
