Schiller is talking about the two sides of human nature, right? The sensuous and the feeling and the corresponding to constitute faculty sensation, and tuition, and then reason, slash understanding. So, and either these sides can get over accentuated, and that's part of the problem. If we can't simply say, okay, let's repress the impulses and be reasonable, that apparently does not work. You could just go into like a factory, you could work in a mine, and you would do that every day for 40 years,. That's not human. And without that satisfaction, we are savages.
