The tactics used by the protestors, even when they weren't physically practising jujitsu, were still sort of philosophically practising some of the precepts of that art. Because they were a radical movement, they were relatively small in their numbers. They had to rely on skill, on leverage, and, at times, on trickery or reception. So it was an ideal way for them to handle some one who's grabbing them and expecting them to instantly just freeze up or wilt or comply. Let me introduce you to my good friend floor.
