The Importance of Movement in Painting

I see my paintings as an intertwining of so many forms, aspects, color and experiences. A lot goes into every painting, but one particular important aspect to me when I'm working is that each painting has its own identity. So the separation between them on a first glance will be the colors, but it will be the marks, the movement, a formal aspect. For me, they're fragments. They're fragments of myself, they’re fragments of experience. And I feel like every moment can be dramatic.
