I don't think we had systems or structure. We need safe outlets rather than smoking, drinking and whatever it is that people find to cope with their particular stress. I wrote the book in part after a five year appraisal process. And i talk quite openly about some of the areas where i could have done things differently. It's time to overcome that hibition - it's time to talk about what i've done. Any doctor who denies that is deluding themselves.
