Is Jesus's Desire One With the Father?

Jesus is calling us to imitate his desire and his desire was to be one with the father in fact personhood. We get hung up on what Jesus did and we miss the central point Which is what drove him to do what he did? That's why our Christian lives are often marked by frustration. You aren't gonna feel closer to God if all along you're still trying to control your own life.
