The Importance of Being a Professional Dharma Student
There's no support system for a professional Dharma. It's not set up like in India or Tibet. So I didn't even feel like there was that option for professional Dharma student. The reason I did my PhD is one of my other teachers was, was dying. And his last sort of like instruction to me was go get a PhD. You know, you know, Australia? Sure. Ireland down at the bottom there. That's Tasmania.
