The Cost of Mainstreaming
In writing everything seems to have been mainstreamed. The costs of mainstreaming are large in terms of quality and freedom with your material. I was the chair of a panel asking the question, can you buy good taste? And what did the panel decide? Can you? Last month everything else had its first ever live podcast at the FT Weekend Festival at Kenwood. If it exists at all, instinctively I think that you can't buy good taste. Also, I think that people who have good taste almost certainly know they have good taste.
