The Evolution of Matsutake in the Himalayas

Matsutake are all over the world and they are actually creating new relationships with new species of trees so that this is a kind of ongoing dynamic set of relationships. They became these very prolific bands of Matsutake around the Himalayas and what used to be a long time ago a tropical place in which Matsutake totally couldn't have been. That was really interesting to me to think about how they got there how they start to move both above ground and underground.
