I don't agree with the sort of late Lukachian reading, which to me is just intellectual sectarianism in that his former self, that Nietzsche is the sort of ancestor of fascism. I think it's not uninteresting that what William Connolly calls the current, the underground currents of existential revenge in daily life are really organized around petty exercises of power. It's not the bosses, it's the middle managers who are the most actively, vengeful and resentful.
