Introduction

Many of the narrations about the virtues of knowledge are actually narrated by Abu Darda al-Ahotal-Anhu. He is the scholar of the companions and I don't use that term lightly when I say the Scholar of the sahaba. In fact you'll often find his name will get confused with Abu DardA al- Ahotal the man who donated his gardens for the sake of Allah subhanu al- ahotal.
