The Life of Frederick Douglass

Douglass grew up under slavery. He escapes to freedom. And it follows the story of what's happening in the nation as a whole. There's another part where he returns to Baltimore and I want to read this part. It was as if he announced that one of the swift-winged angels, the sailing ships of the bay of which he had yearned to fly while imprisoned by Kovee, had brought the exiled son home.
