Chip security has become one of the central themes of the last few years, first the shortage and then with all the geopolitical tensions. Apple announcing is kind of interesting, especially as it works on its own chip and with the M series. Of course, you have to imagine that Apple is still working on something similar, but it's announcing a multi-billion dollar deal.
