The Importance of Attribution in Cyber Threat Intelligence
This is a really difficult question and one that we call is a question that we call attribution. We're basically going to look at the tools that they use and the certain tactics, techniques and procedures or TTPs that they use. This is where kind of we get the circus tent of names in the cyber threat intelligence community like Fancy Bear and Cobalt Gypsy, etc. And based on how a hacker moves through the network, how they get into the network, what specific tools that they used while they're there, we can make an educated guess as to who they are.
