I think Max is still carrying a big chip from their championship battle in 2021. I would be curious if he got on the radio and complained about that if it was anyone else. He also kind of like just let George go through rather than really getting his elbows out like he might have in the past, which I think was smart on his part. It could be one of those things where it's a sporting beef and genuinely as humans, they're fine with each other. But when it comes to racing rivalry, it's amazing that that is the shadow of 2007 here being fought for again in a podium in 2023.
