What Happens When the Chorus Doesn't Tell Us What's Going to Happen?
Romeo and Juliet is an interesting play textually. It exists in a quarto of 1597 and another of 1599. Q1 is shorter by about a fifth, it probably could fit into two hours. Its opening prologue is 12, not 14 lines. The reason that the folio does not have the chorus to Romeo and Juliet is almost certainly practically attributable to some kind of textual mistake.
