The S&P 500 Stolen 20% of Its Value in 2011
In 2011, the U.S. government went past the debt ceiling and took special measures to stretch out the cash. The S&P 500 lost nearly 20% of its value during that two-week period. Once the situation stabilized, the stock market bounced back very quickly. We're definitely not there yet; we got to watch, but we're not there yet," says John Avlon.
