The Problem With Premature Death
In a human context, it's not possible to avoid spill over effects in terms of the acceptability of killing other humans. For animals, that doesn't generally apply, I think. So I wouldn't simply say, well, we wouldn't do this to humans, so therefore it must be wrong to do it to animals.
