Reasons for Delay

Claimant has to establish that there are good reasons for the delay in starting proceedings. Any justification for not having disclosed allegations earlier is not considered to be self proving. The judge held that it was unsatisfactory for the court to be asked to draw inferences when a claimant had given written and oral evidence but had said nothing on his or her reasons for delay.
