The Importance of Being Tight

I like the connection and I've always been a fan of not having things be too obvious. When it's less obvious, the user can attach a whole bunch of different meanings to it or the viewer. As the creator, you don't really know what they're going to put into it. So in a sense, it's not unlike painting as well. And so you can make something so loose that it becomes abstract and nobody can see it. But in this movement from loose to tight, you could make something so tight that it looks like a machine did it. Well, geez, what's the point? You might as well just use the camera.
