Henry Ford's Model T Ford
In 1908 Henry Ford decided the price of his model T Ford before he had either finished working out the actual costs of making it. He said this car must sell for a price that the average American worker could pay with less than a year's work. Today most cars sell for considerably more than most people are capable of earning after taxes in a year so not surprisingly the model T became this huge success.
