The Disfused Power of Scholars in Islamic History
In the Sharia, power is disfused because scholars have a significant role and scholars are not in power. So we could be argued that historically that model has a difficult, has a much harder feasibility. And for instance, if you look at medieval or pre-modern societies in terms of political activism and you compare that with modern times, we can see an element of progress. In all these other areas, historical experience, what things work, how they work better, we can definitely learn from the West. This takes me back to your question about liberalism.
