Is It a Good Idea to Rewrite an Application?
If you're going to re architect a system, and it doesn't matter if it's from one architecture to another, then e at the end of the day, the best bet is basically to bite the bullet and rewrite the system. The situations in which i've seen and which they've try in which an attempt was done to impose a different architecture on an existing system usually ended in tears. But like you said, charles, it could be that you picked one architecture at a certain point in time because it made up perfect sense at that time, and then it doesn't make sense any more.
