The Dangers of Problem Based Learning
There's a huge push for problem based learning in Canadian classrooms. The idea is that we give students rich problems to work on and see what they come up with. It's based upon the premise of how an expert learns, he says. Novices are not experts; you need knowledge to carry out the prize, solve the problem.
