Is There an Economy in Journalism?

CNN's Kat Kinsman asks how to keep up this level of coverage from inside journalism. She says we live in a world where horror doesn't get the kind of news, mediate attention that it needs. There is an economy of eyeballs, shares and con ation on there being an audience for this,. And this is true, i would say, beyond journalism... Is also true in democratic politics, right?
