The Principle of Optimism
Unhappiness is caused by being chronically balked in one's attempts to do that, and solving problems itself depends on knowing how. Readers may recognise this as a special case of the principle of optimism. If you could solve that, then that would be the solution to unhappiness. That's how to be more happy to continually solve your problems. How to solve some particular problem, like if you're chronically in pain and you don't want to be - if you could fix that, then you would be happier. It might very well be that it could be a chemical imbalance, but it could also be simply that you don't know what the problems are that are causing you unhappiness.
