The Borges and the Renaissance in the Vatican
"I was able to do a reconstruction of what it would have been like," he says. "It's just this fascinating thing that there it is, and it's- and it wasn't at the time, and the Renaissance, it was considered, you know, normal to have that." The Pope used to rhyme all over Rome, but in 1870 he got kicked back to the Vatican for 30 years. He refused to accept that Italy was not into a Mussolini or Berlusconi regime.
