A simile is a literary device. That compares two things in an interesting and vivid way. If you say something is like something, or similar to something, that is a simile. Whereas if you say that something is something else, that's a metaphor. So, your english is like a shark. That's a simile - s i m i l e, isn't it? S i m il e, simile simile examples.
