What Is the Origin of the Word Sha?

Sha is an odd word that comes from hebrew, and it means emptiness. The symbol for shois though is an upside down e. A language like greek does not have a shoi, or hawaiian or spanish. But another languages do have the shois. English likes to stress every other syllable in all three vowels - so if you've got two middle syllables but one of those ends up being shoi. Shwa can help spellers when they are trying to work out what words mean by different pronunciations.
