Is the Connection Not Keeping Up?
The only thing that you have to worry about is if that one task that owns the resource ever gets too many messages that it can't reply fast enough, then you're in real trouble. So usually that would be because the connection is not keeping up. But that's not really an actor specific problem. And so the way you can approach these kind of problems is that usually the chammel that you used to send messages to the actor is pounded. This means that you you get what's called back pressure.
