How to Be a Successful Canadian Country Singer

I was just a freestyle top-40 bar singer as a, you know, cover songs. Now I was still singing cover songs at Dearhurst,. But I was writing and demoing my songs at night after shows. So by the time I was introduced to a Nashville producer and lawyer that were willing to shop my songs to a record label, I had a nice collection of songs. Yeah. How did you feel about country music? It's different today. There are many successful Canadian country singers. And here you are this Canadian woman trying to show that you have what it takes. Was any part of you nervous about coming across inauthentic or not country enough or something like that?
