The S&P 500 Sectors End Up in the Green

All 11 of the S&P 500 sectors ended up in the green, led by a 3 percent jump in consumer discretionary stocks and then real estate stocks. The Fed looks like it's going to pause the next week's meeting as inflation continues to cool. So why have hedge funds widened their net short positions in the S-P 500 to their widest levels ever?
