I don't think that I'd be watching a film like Snow Town again anytime soon. My answer to this is Passolini's Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom, but I would not be in a rush to see it ever again. The thing that made me the most kind of queasy was not the actual sort of sexual deprivation on show. But the cutaways of the dirty old men enjoying it is somehow worse than the acts themselves. Quentin Tarantino said if you didn't watch Salo in the cinema, you haven't seen it at all. So maybe I have to do that to finally be at peace with Salo actually watching the cinema and seeing people walking out.
