The Last British Woman in the Air Transport Auxiliary
James Noi is the author of a new book about women who fought in World War II. He talks to lucy, James and j edwards from air transport auxiliary. J was one of only 68 women out of 100 or so that performed this role. She had just two hours solo flying experience before war began but went on to pilot more than 20 different types of single engine planes. Her story will be published by Simon & Schuster next month.
