How well established is this lens of using generations to make sense of the world? Your book points to the influential scholars, William Strauss and Neil Howe. But their book was only published in 1991. Does this go any further back than this? Or is this a new kind of lens that social science researchers are using? It seemed really very little of that when I started my career.
