The sport was all being invented as we went along when I first started. Backflips and 360s were cool, a backflip and a 360 was what was going down in the 90s. You weren't necessarily disposable at that time; media makes people disposable now. If you didn't do anything the next year, most people wouldn't even notice you were gone because there's 50 other kids lined up to take your spot.
