I had no concept of what therapy was. I did not know of the vocation at all. Mental health was not something that was discussed. And so many folks around me growing up had mental health issues. No one gave it any vocabulary. There were other words like, you know, they're touched or they're special and he's eccentric. But as I've learned to understand those things that we did not speak about, I'm like, oh, that's what that was.
