The Essence of a Burnt Sacrifice

The most important sacrifice is the Olaar, the burnt offering. This sacrifice was also common at the city of Ugarit and seems to have been widespread throughout Canaan. If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you shall offer a male without blemish. You shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting for acceptance in your behalf before Yave. The burnt offering shall be flayed and cut up into its parts. It all goes to God.
