The Importance of Having a Broad Checkbox in the Admissions Process
I think if you're tying something to a past descendants of slaves, descendants of those interned internment camps, children of Iraqi and Afghan interpreters, that you can tie that beyond just skin color. And the fact that what 5% of the applicants and 30% of the admissions at Harvard are either legacies or athletes undersells how basically white students have been getting affirmative action, and they still will.
