The Evolution of Insurance

The modern version of an insurance company really dates back to the 17th century. Lloyds of London is 300 and some years old, Aviva in the UK, 300 andsome years old,. Aksai in Paris, 200 and some years ago. The equivalent of fish or atoms of a toaster is probability theory, it's an algorithm. And therefore as transformative as big data and AI can be in those industries where the core product doesn't change but everything around it changes, I think in insurance it can also transform the core product.
