The Importance of Repenting of Conflict Avoidance
We come into conflicts mostly thinking about how we're perceived. That has to be repented of, and it really is irrelevant how we are perceived. Matthew 7 doesn't work if both parties aren't willing to do what Matthew 7 says. First remove the log out of your own eye. All sin has to be gone before I confront someone; there could be self-righteousness. The best thing for me to do in this situation is to repent of the pride that would say, hey, you don't have a right to speak to me like that"
