Korean Balls - The Art Form of High Tea in Japan
I brought a 17th century Korean ball that was brought over, basically, Ransacked because Japan invaded Korea and brought over to Japan. It was a commoner's noodle dish, noodle ball that was used in high tea because Senator Rikyu, the originator of this refined form of high tea in Japan in 16th century. And so I brought one of these given to me by a tea family for the sole reason of bringing it to Columbine High School. The families of tea masters will not mend it right away. They will hold on to the fractured ball for generations before they give it to a Kinsugi master, before they giving it to a Japan lacquer master
