Just think about how old a creature is that might be on your plate. A grouper takes, you know, five or six years before it matures to make more grouper. Chickens, probably less than a year. Cows,. probably less than two years. And it's thrue with other animals, mammals that we consume. Even a little herring on your plate is likely to be at least three years old and can be ten. Deep sea fish tend to be older, but even a grouper, a cod, can be 30 years old. So knowing what you're eating and asking yourself, do i want this creature to become a part of mwhere has it come
