I was very active in CND at the time. I was mounting concern about the environment and women's movement. It all felt like it was all different, all being pulled in different directions. And then this book by Jonathan Porret made all of the connections between those things and put them together in a kind of political package. So it was looking at causes, not just symptoms. At that moment when I thought, yep, I want to be part of the green party because he was writing it from a green party perspective. But I signed up there and then. That's amazing.
