How Do You Work With Men?
In the early 90s, I started reading everything I could cross culturally on this rather universal phenomenon of male initiation. On every continent, culture after culture, it was never assumed that the young male naturally grew up. He had to be carefully taught as Rogers and Hammerstein would put it. So I created a five-day event. We started doing them here in New Mexico at Ghost Ranch in 1996 to try to compress what was often several weeks or several months. And as you said, the response has been overwhelming. It's moved into 13 different countries now and so forth.
