The Death of Guru Govin Sing

Govin sing was the tenth and last guru. He succeeded his father, teg bahadur when only 15 years of age. By his pronounced preference for hinduism he caused a division in the seek commune. The spirit of tolerance marked during the lifetime of nanak was clearly gone. This hostility gave birth to the saying that a true seek should always be engaged in war with the mohammedans and slay them fighting face to face.
