Filmmaker says he wanted to look at something in society that maybe feels a little bit off whack. "i like this idea of taking a look at societies we did in arbitrage with the hed funds, and saying, well, maybe incentives happened here for people to cut the rules" The film is based on an investigation by Los Angeles Times reporter Steve opferman who went around making illicit fentonil from pill presses.
