The Importance of Empathy

I did not expect to be emotional when the verdict came down I for sure thought they were gonna give him something right. We come from a history of being brutalized by law enforcement and by the state in the state not being held accountable ever. It's important for folks to then do the the work of empathy which ironically is under attack from a lot of a lot of evangelicals yes have been attacking empathy as a thing that could bring you into what we're talking about. If you've never lived in an over-police neighborhood ever in your life it almost feels like you're getting a a sort of martial law kind of right experience every time you walk outside.
